Moving Forward Safer Futures: An Inclusive Dialogue between Police, Policy Makers and Canada’s Aboriginal Peoples

The Global Network for Community Safety President Norm Taylor recently served as Planning Committee Chair and Lead Moderator for the recent conference Moving Forward Safer Futures: An Inclusive Dialogue between Police, Policy Makers and Canada’s Aboriginal Peoples, presented by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) this past May in Winnipeg.  In the CACP Bulletin – Summer 2016 issue, Taylor reflects on the importance, timeliness and outcomes of the conference in his article An Inclusive Dialogue with Indigenous Canadians: Moving Forward after Winnipeg (pages 8-9).

The Global Network team, consciously aware that the progressive ideas, models and themes being presented and discussed at the conference were closely tied to our own Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) initiatives and philosophies, were also in attendance to lend our support as interested delegates, presenters and as Silver Level Sponsors of the conference.
